Growing demand for animal-sourced foods in the Global South necessitates a balance between environmental sustainability with food security and nutrition. At this year's COP28, the ALive4Climate Alliance comes together to highlight the solutions and pathways for how sustainable livestock can positively benefit adaptation efforts whilst also cutting emissions.
If we exclude livestock’s multiple roles, alongside the need for the sector to improveon all sustainability dimensions, from development programming, we will struggle to transform food systems, tackle the climate crisis, and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
