Aparna is a climate finance professional with over a decade of experience in climate investing and international development work across the globe.

Currently, Aparna is a political appointee in the Biden-Harris administration and serves as the Deputy Chief Climate Officer at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). As the U.S. Government’s development bank, DFC has active exposure of over $37 billion globally, including a climate portfolio of over $10 billion. Aparna drives the prioritization of climate across DFC's strategy, operations, and business development efforts leading to over $2.3 billion in climate-linked investments in 2022 alone.
