A ‘One Health’ approach combines the core dimensions of human, animal and environment health
Addressing animal diseases can directly improve human health, particularly in the developing world
What to invest in?

- Improve health governance by engaging environmental stakeholders
- Increase investments in interdisciplinary approaches, strengthen the integration of environmental considerations in the World Health Organization (WHO)/Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)/World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) Tripartite Collaboration
- Operationalise One Health at the policy level by building intra-operability between ministries
- Implement One Health interventions at operational levels for greater on the ground results, showing what will actually change
- Strengthen existing and build new capacities among health stakeholders in all countries to improve outcomes and to help them understand the human, animal and environment health dimensions of zoonotic diseases
