This one-hour interactive roundtable will gather government representatives, funders, farmers and practitioners to explore how livestock-related climate commitments are being implemented in practice. The session will begin with two rapid country case studies, followed by small-group discussions where participants co-create recommendations for expanding livestock inclusion in NDCs and ensuring these commitments translate into real, funded action.

The purpose will be to learn from experiences of countries that have already taken steps to address livestock in NDCs, as well as learn from notable interventions by global and institutional funders to address systemic sustainability issues in dairy and meat value chains. Participants will identify challenges and opportunities for 1. Expanding livestock commitments to more countries, and 2. Ensuring that commitments translate into practical country action backed by sufficient funding streams from climate/green donors.
